Lucky to keep his job after last season. And Lees with the captaincy.
What is that decision from the umpire?!
We're playing 13 men here.
I’ve stuck up for the umpires this game but aye that dead ball call was a shocker![]()
North is.
I guess the answer to the question "is the pitch wet" has been answered.
What do you base this confidence on? Many first teamers have regressed since that season (e.g. Lees, Robinson) and we have less strength in depth after releasing players. He probably was lucky, but I’m glad he’s still here. Personally he should have credit in the bank following our promotion in 2023, because that was arguably the best cricket I’ve ever seen Durham play and yes, I do include the 3 Championship title wins in that.
It’s easy to sack a bloke following a relegation, but I’m confident that he’ll get us back up in time (maybe next season, if not this) aslong as he’s backed.
That's not how we got promoted. We lost one game, drew six and had a huge number of batting points. We didn't go in gung ho.As for Campbell, we played exactly the same way to get promoted the other year and he was heralded as a revelation. We won’t get promoted with borefest draws so we need to accept being aggressive and taking risks is part and parcel of winnings games.

Odd tactics here just playing out a maiden when we already have a lead over 300
Totally agree if they knock 300+ on this wicket in 70 overs they deserve to win the game.Should have declared a bit ago. You have to take calculated gambles and Kent aren't nt getting 260 plus in these conditions
