Durham v Kent (A) C.C. 15/5/26

Here's the table after games all done. Our lead down to 20(which is still excellent).

Big chance with two home games to try and solidify top spot. Helps that we play our nearest challenger at the moment.

Not sure how Kent find themselves third after they had some help in their first few games from the weather.

A great effort to avoid the follow on and a big last wicket stand .... Parkys batting certainly kicked on recently, chuffed for Ben Raine.
No damage done and a decent points haul in a game we could never have won but could have lost. Top of the league, going okay.

If you can't win the game, don't lose it, especially when you haven't played that well. That's exactly what we did so can't grumble too much, still unbeaten and you can't win them all.

No mention of McKinney's injury time frame
They mentioned on comms that he had been for an x-ray on the Saturday morning, nothing from the club but that he was watching the warm ups this morning with no visible strapping to it. He's off with the Lions for the next couple of weeks so he wouldn't have been seen in this bank of T20 games anyway.

Above is my Excel Spreadsheet to track Durham’s stats. Feel free to take a look. Over time I’ll add wider DCC stats and stats from both Divisions 1 and 2 of the County Championship, T20 Blast & One Day Cup.

It’s very congested that’s for sure, but we’ve got a nice cushion for now and as others have said, we get two home games in June to consolidate that position. Wouldn’t surprise me if Vic prepares two flatties to enable us to maximise batting bonus points.
