Durham v Hampshire (A) C.C.

Disappointing morning for Durham, especially when the tail begins at 7 with this lineup. All of the batsmen have looked out of form.

Its mad really.....Lees, Gay , McKinney and Ackermann have each made one big hundred in their season so far but in most of their other innings have contributed SWA.
If you take away their one big innings you have Gay with 60 runs in 5 innings and Lees averaging 18 in his other 7 innings, there hasn't been any consistency from a batsman this season.

Exactly ...and with Robinson and Rhodes so far also contributing nothing in the middle order we are never in a position of strength. Our bowlers effectively won us the last game

Top order completely misfiring this season as summed up by Rhodes and Ackermanns very poor dismissals. As stated earlier little confidence has been gained by some after hitting hundreds and others have yet to score 30 in an innings.
Really hoping Olly can regain confidence and Clarky can make a big one after some decent knocks so far.

Excellent counter-attacking partnership by Robinson and Clark. Hampshire's tactic to go short ball bowling with Baker was odd, but from a Durham view I'll take it.

We have a canny side but I'm struggling to really connect with Durham this year. I get we want to win but it feels so diluted of local lads. Just Pottsy and Clark today who came through the ranks doesn't sit that well with me.

Shrinking the academy certainly having an impact now

Robinson bowled off a long hop playing a terrible hoik
Waste of a wicket because he was going very well and just had a rush of blood and a wild slash
I’m off for a not so wild slash now

Robinson played really well but what a soft dismissal dirty half tracker should of had his pads as second line of defence.

As not much batting to come.

Well batted Clarky , another good contribution, needs to go big now though with a longish tail. A much improved knock from Olly Robinson. Shame how it ended but hopefully back to his best going forward.
