Durham v Hampshire (A) C.C.

15 man squad a week after we where struggling to get an Xl sorted out for Worcestershire. I would imagine one of the batsmen one of the spinners and two of the seamers miss out. Depending on how he's feeling I wonder if this is a match they could give Raine a rest.

I reckon some haven't travelled and just been added to list

Yeh,Ben has played 4 games in 4 weeks with a particularly heavy workload in the 1st 3 games. He has had 5 days rest and then there's a 10 day break after this game.
I'd still be inclined to rest him and go with 3 of Potts, Yusuf, Ball and Doggett.

He is so important but this is possibly the last time they could give him a break till possibly the 50 over comp.

Ah class my bad

Ben Raine has been our most consistent bowler so far this year and has put some shifts
I think Matty Potts hasn’t been as good and has not looked threatening and while he has made contributions with the bat his bowling needs to go up a gear or two IMO of course
Is that Hampshire YouTube site Garish and horrible or have I logged in to a pirate site

Hampshire ground is a road mind especially with the heat/sun we've had and there still is down south.

So I get the logic of picking the bowlers more likely to get something out of the pitch.

Raine/Ball are your more traditional county openers and would be absolutely no use on this deck.

Great toss to win and we've got to make the most of it with a weakened batting lineup and Rhodes/Robinson yet to get going with the bat.

Another nice big stand from Lees and Gay would be just the ticket we need!
