Don't suppose anyone that's been going down for the one-dayers knows if the usual catering/ice cream vans are out? My life won't be worth living if we get there and the usual day outto the T20 for an ice cream and chipsdoesn't materialise
Try getting a price like that at a hotel near Lords!Room for 2 at the Premier Inn in Nottingham is £38 next Thursday night.

If anyone wants to push the boat out I can thoroughly recommend the Beeches Hotel about a 5 minute walk from the ground. £100 a night. Breakfast and gym/spa included.

Coach/buses worth exploring on line. I found a National Express service from Sunderland leaving 08:40 arriving (change at Leeds 1h 20min wait!) at Nottingham (Station Street) 13:40. £28.00 one way. Services 133 and 132. 1 mile walk from Trent Bridge.

I know it's a farce and showing total disregard for supporters of county cricket by the ECB but I wonder if the club have made any enquiries with local coach hire companies about possibly putting on a few buses for Thursday if we win the semi.
At the end of the day the vast majority of supporters who are regulars at the Riverside will probably have nothing planned for Thursday and available as they are retired.
It would take a bit of planning by the club but would be a decent gesture to their supporters.
You can leave a little later for a little more money.not been to trent bridge before so wasn't sure how far it was from the station, seems like that might be cutting it fine leaving at 21.14?
what is this witchcraft known as 'split ticketing' ? i just tried durham instead of sunderland and it's dropped from 160 to 90![]()

Split ticketing is basically breaking the journey into smaller sections and taking advantage of our frankly baffling ticketing system. Multiple companies operating on the same sections of track was always a recipe for ticketing chaos. Often the shortest way is not the cheapest and often you can end up staying on the same train but with three tickets, for example....Durham to York, York to Grantham, Grantham to London. As long as the train stops at the intermediate stations, just sit on the train. Once upon a time you had to be pretty geeky to work it all out, unsurprisingly websites now take the legwork out of it.
These were the first site I can remember entering the market.....You must be logged on to see external links
It can be a chore, but if your budget is tight or you have plenty of time, it can be useful.
i think there really needs to be some legistlation put into place to make it criminal to charge two people sat next to each other on a train, plane or automobile a completely different price.
the amount of times i've been with mates, girlfriends etc booking places or travel and one person gets quoted one price and another something completely different for the same ticket/room etc. absolultely bang out of order
