We'll we're 4 months into the season so if it's taken him that long to realise we needed changes to wicket preparation and team selection it would appear "Franklinout" is justified.
Until he has a ECB contract and as long as hes willing id be playing him regardless of what the ECB want

Well it's looking like that home win against Glamorgan will be the only red ball victory of the season.
I don't think it's that straightforward. The ECB grant,essential for almost all counties survival,is conditional on cooperating with ECB on managing player's workload.

Both batters reach their chanceless centuries and the scoreboard is knackered...pretty much sums it all up.
I’ve not seen this article before, though the content is all very familiar. The ECB have to do something about this very quickly because it is destroying the game. This week’s game exemplifies the problem perfectly, but there are countless examples.

I don't think so. It's not an exact science for one, and if he's just followed orders of what type of wickets to prepare then you have to look at those instructions before you look at him.
Also its arguable that these wickets have caused us to draw games we'd have lost rather than draw games we'd have won. Pure speculation to conclude one way or the other

Perhaps, considering people have been calling for it since the end of April, I’m very surprised the instruction hasn’t changed at all.
Which is why I didn’t speculate. I didn’t make any reference to wins or losses, merely that every pitch this season (with the exception of the Glamorgan game) has been a pitch where bowlers of all styles and persuasions have came to die.
That said, our lot could fold like a pack of cards tomorrow and Derbyshire probably wouldn’t have any issue with the pitch, but the second that this partnership got together in this game - it immediately felt like nothing would happen and lo and behold, absolutely nothing has happened. It’s been turgid. I left an hour before Tea because I couldn’t take it anymore.
I sat and watched every ball of Ravindra’s innings in the last match and thought it was a pleasure to witness, but then with what occurred after, I’m questioning whether it was really that worthy after all - which is a very sad indictment of what the pitches this season have driven folk to. It’s sad to question the lad, because a double hundred is a very rare and magnificent thing to achieve, but here we are.

229 partnership after being in a massively strong position to win just sums up this season.
As soon as the balli goes soft we are truly knackered as a bowling unit. The run out chance apart these two could bat till Christmas.
Hope I'm wrong but it looks like a potential 350 plus lead and us batting to save the draw..
