Durham v Derbyshire 11th-14th July


Great effort from Durham's lower order with all of them contributing. Special mention to the two young debutants who not only made very good scores but batted with excellent maturity.
A very unexpected lead, let's continue the momentum and shift their top order.

Not only can I honestly say I was confidently predicting a lead an hour or two ago, I have witnesses :lol:

I fully agree, the tail certainly wagged this afternoon!
 
Turned out alright in the end today, but I can’t help feel like we’ve been a victim of circumstance today given the cloud cover that we all woke up to.

I definitely feel like the ball did more for Derbyshire for longer given the conditions, yet again, we saw just how straightforward batting was when the ball got older and the sun came out.

Pray for clouds and floodlights in the morning and with a good first hour, we could be right in the box seat!
 
Well in Rushy.

This is why I love the CC. Looked like we were well on top yesterday only for Derby to fight their way back in. Then our batters have a ‘made and it looks like we’re on for a heavy defeat only for the tail to wag. Now at the end of play today I’m once more confident of a win. :lol:
