Durham v Derbyshire 11th-14th July

The day can be divided into three parts - the Rushy inspired first instalment which reduced the visitors to 85-5, then the 166 partnership between Du Plooy and Dal and finally when Durham took the new ball to claim the last 5 wickets.

My apologies to the Derbyshire fans this morning who are big fans of Rushy and I warned them he hasn't been firing on all cylinders this season - well he certainly did today...and on his birthday!

Pleased that McAlindon got a couple of wickets at the end and thought Mackintosh kept well behind the stumps.

Final thought - there's a lot of work that needs to be done between now and the 19th for the England game as once again the ground is looking like a shit tip....oh and something already mentioned - well done @Twisted for leaving early.:D

A really good day. Thought we bowled well and I thought Derbyshire recovered well. Bemused by the last two wickets but it worked for us. The over we had to face was very poor from a Derbyshire point of view, again a tad bemused. Have to agree with the view about the ground, it's an absolute tip. Well done Rushworth and congratulations to the two young debutants.

It's a no from me. If Ned is away then give the young lad the gloves.

I think it's a case of finance..personally.id happily give Robinson and sowter contracts but it seems like we only want to pay people who play all formats (except Clark assuming we hold onto him)

But tbf I'd keep Eck and Salisbury anarl but I doubt we will sign any, and that's purely financial imo

Can’t wait till I’m retired and I can go and watch the cricket on a Monday instead of sweating my balls off in 30 degree heat building f***ing diggers.

Salisbury has to be one of the most unluckiest bowlers on the county circuit. I'd like to think he stayed as I just love his effort & attitude and I think he's a decent bowler. Was a dodgy rumour about someone signing for Derbyshire but I take such rumours with a pinch of salt a lot of the time.
