Ridiculous rumour I've heard tonight that we are on stand by to host Lancashire's home T20 quarter final...

During the Leics CC game one of these 'in the know' old gadgees was telling me that this was on the cards.

Mind you he also said we were getting Gillespie as coach last season!
Outside chance their QF opponents could be Hampshite!

The Lancashire players confirmed that they were more comfortable playing at Emirates Riverside than any other alternative venue, with the team having won its last seven Vitality Blast fixtures at Durham.

Their reasoning seems a bit flawed. Claiming that they like the pitch, although I don’t think the pitch is the reason they’ve beat us 7 times in a row up here...

Headingley, edgbaston, Trent bridge? All closer and better served by transport from Manchester. Both grounds sponsored by a certain emirates...
Notts are likely to be using TB for their own QF whilst Lancs wouldn't play in enemy territory at Headingley. Playing at Edgbaston with the finals day a fortnight later could be argued advantageous. The mutual sponsor could well be the reason for the Riverside, Emirates still get the ground advertising on the tv coverage.
