Durham signing?

One fifty says otherwise Joe roots record pisses all over stokes but he can't get look in, he's in because of his name
I don't know why your continuing on this lone quest.

I was in somewhat the same opinion that Stokes for all his talent hasn't quite shown that for England in T20. Questioned whether he should give that up not ODI where's he's been absolutely sensational since 2015.

But he's a match winner he's got that magic every side in the world wants.

Then you have to look and what England's approach is six in T20. Buttler spoke about it at length about wanting to emulate the Windies tactic to be successful. Which was focusing on 6 hitting.

Sadly that means Root who was our best player in 2016 has fallen by the wayside. As the game has become more power orientated.

Stokes literally guided us to the win in the final year with the bat. First 50 for England in a match winning one, the most Ben Sokes thing ever.

Even if it was a scratchy and non explosive innings I'm sure Root would no doubt have acheived. But Malan the replacement for Root not Stokes so irrelevant in comparing them.
That’s his international record, I’ve posted his career T20 stats.

You laughed when it was suggested he should be in the team in the WC and ended up being shown up on that occasion too.

To say Stokes isn’t very good at T20 is laughable. You could say his stats aren’t great, but he’d be 1 of the 1st on my team every single day. There’s a reason IPL teams pay so much for him.
I think it was fair enough at the time. As he'd given up on ODI's where he was so much better and influential to our success from 2015 onwards.

No point to still be going on about it as he scored the runs to guide us to the trophy. He showed why he should always be in the England side for any tournament.

Albeit I'm just hoping he's going to be fit to play a real part in the ashes.

Him coming back for India later in the year is probably a pipe dream as if he does play a proper part in the Ashes I imagine he's going to be held together by plasters come the end.

Yes he would how is he box office in T20

Because he’s the kind of player people pay to watch. Which is the very definition of box office, irrespective of averages or stats.

I’ve made my feelings known on this, as have many others and I find this argument incredibly tedious to be honest, it’s been done far too many times and it appears you’re in the minority with your opposite view.

You’re entitled to your view, but I strongly disagree with it. It happens. That’s the last I’ll say on the matter.
