Durham signing?

think i would settle more for stokes or wood to play the odd game than a 2nd overseas
How they going to find time to play in T20 with the Ireland test next week and then the Ashes a few weeks later.

Ben isn't fit and Wood needs wrapped up in cotton wool.

Also the two aren't mutually exclusive, if the ECB let us use our international players in the odd game then great, still need overseas for the remaining games.

We'd no doubt not be signing Parnell if Potts wasn't involved with England and Carse wasn't missing the whole competition.

Stokes isn't very good at T20 generally
Would more likely get ppl watching though

Parnell is a bit like Tye, unexciting but will hopefully do a job

Yeah it was never likely but it would still be my preference. Local kids seldom get the chance to see them play for durham. England scheduling hasn't helped but the games we have during half term would have been ideal

Bas is not overseas apparently got on the last boat to county cricket before the EU passport loophole was closed by brexit.
Spot of fortune then. Potentially a real gem there.

Shame were without him for the whole blast and next two CC games at least.

Potentially 3 on the CC front, assuming Netherlands get through first stage.

Last games are 6th-9th July and Gloucs at home is 10th

Aye apart from when he won England the World Cup
A combination of injuries and England duties have made this necessary as sadly from what I've seen of the 2nds T20 home games this season, none of our young pace bowlers have done anything to catch the eye and stake a claim in the Blast.

Fair point this, you’ll know more than most

I guess talented players improve the more they are tested mind

Neither will play for Durham this season, which is actually quite rare

World Cup after the summer. They’ll have their feet up

We don’t pay their wages in the slightest

Generally I would agree but come a key game like a final he would be first name on the teamsheet and will be man of the match

I guess he has quite a high octane game so probably goes through the motions in a lot of 20/20 games

Averages 24.77 with the bat, SR of 133.
Averages 30 with the ball, economy of 8.4

“Isn’t very good” - Haway mate!
21 with bat 32 with ball only one fifty
