HA'WAY!!!

Love the positivity and I want to say just how pleased I am that it seems we're FINALLY doing a proper pre-season. I've said for a number of years I don't think we play anywhere near enough warm-up games so it's only right praise is given for this schedule.

Much better feeling around this year than last, understandably. We've got a decent chance.
Yea. Still some injury .

Markham
Steele
Clark
Smith
Richardson
Colly
Pringle
Weighell
Rushworth
Rimmington

then a choice of
Trevaskis
Coggers no2
Harding
Harte

Potts - injured or recovered (if recovered would be an obvious pick)?
Carse - Injured
Poynter - if Ireland don't want him
McCarthy - if Ireland don't want him (it sounds like he's been doing great for Ireland)
Stokes - IPL, Enlgand etc
Wood - IPL, England

Hope you boys absolutely smash it.

A double over K*nt would be much appreciated, too ;)

Absolutely no chance at all of that unfortunately mate*

Anyway, when are you coming up to see us all and cheer us on?

*We only play them at home.

Wheeeze this Markham?! ;)

Won't be far off that marra, Potts must play if fit cause he was a mint find last year. Batting wise - might see some slight alterations with the order. Smith might (want to) go 3, so could be a bit of a shuffle.

Agree on Potts. Hope he's fit.

You have got to be positive before the season starts but I am very unsure about this one
It’s all about momentum the championship and games come thick and fast early on and I am unsure how quickly the new lads like Remington and Markram will adjust to early English conditions
Also we can’t rely on our great spinning genius Pringle to take wickets or score runs
I would love Durham to storm the league but remain sceptical that this will happen

The young bowlers need to stay fit. 2 from Weighell/Potts/McCarthy/Carse to back up Rushy and Rimmo (who will be a more than useful number 8/9). The batting looks OK, plenty of experience there. Possibly Pringle's last chance this year with Trevaskis and Harding pushing for a place.

Anyone know any details of the Middlesex fixture. Mebees Merchant Taylor Like last year?
The bairn played there last year on an U15 DCCC tour. Fantastic setting but murder to get to.

On Middlesex xxx website. Merchant Taylor have very good indoor facilities iirc.
The whole setup is class. The cricket pitches seem to go on for miles. The bairn played on the same square that Middlesex play on.

Middlesex U15/Academy were superb, as you would expect with about 6m kids to choose from. Fortunately rain stopped play!

Agree with the point on the momentum View, regarding the overseas lads - does anyone know when they're due? Hopefully they can play in 2/3 of the friendly games in order to adapt to the pace and the vagaries of playing in Durham in April
