He seemed decent enough in his spell here, although i would have preferred we kept Ben whitehead and see how he'd develop
Durham CCC are going backwards.

Results don't matter according to you so nothing will ever be said by youHe wants to be agressive like be interesting to see
We need to try n attack and won’t get criticism from me if it goes badly. I fear for them slightly as I know county cricket fans get extremely annoyed when batsmsn get out slogging like. It’s their money to be fair to watch but that’s the way the game is going
Well they do and they don't.Results don't matter according to you so nothing will ever be said by you
There definitely needs to be a change of pitches for 2023, they've been getting flatter and flatter for a few seasons now. Add last seasons pitches to the Kookaburra balls they'll be trialing next season and it'll be dire to watch.I like what I hear but he will be judged by what I see for myself. I like the mindset about hating draws.... Last year especially was tedious and I'd like to think we had a more attacking mindset and a lot of that will depend on the quality of the wickets at home. I'd sooner lose a game trying to win than a boring 600 Vs 500 bore draw. If I see positive intentions then I'll welcome that massively. Of course I want to see improvements but a positive mindset/intention will bring improvements no doubt about it. Many times this year I didn't have a clue what our game plans were, it was dire on the whole to watch and it was clearly a very unhappy camp as it was amongst members. If I see a positive Durham in 2023 then I'll enjoy my cricket. If I see more of the game from 2022 then I'd have to reconsider my membership for 2024, I can't accept watching more of the 2022 rubbish it was so bad. Member engagement is also important and the planned members forum in January is a welcomed start.
I have been reading how the CC will use the kookaburra next season. Does that mean scoring fast is less risky than it used to be? Otoh, maybe more tedious drawsI like what I hear but he will be judged by what I see for myself. I like the mindset about hating draws.... Durham need something to shake us up. We were just making up the numbers last year.
We were losing anyway, may as well risk it to produce more entertaining cricket.

Erm I haven'tWhy do you stop going when it's shit
True the two analogies don't link perfectly but I think we'd rather not see us just limping to defeat like we did a lot last season. The difference between SAFC and DCCC in that example is that sunlun were (in theory) too good for that division and had the players to win games. I'm not sure if Durham try to play the way England are ATM I'm not sure we'd end up with better results or just quicker losses
Time will tell though
Yeh but support team no matter what I'd be season ticket holder with Sunderland even if we were none leagueErm I haven'tbut I won't be paying membership money to watch flat wicket draws in 2024, couldn't justify the money, petrol, time and annual leave. I'd likely just stick to the one day cup games. 2022 was a very hard watch at great expense, time and annual leave. I don't think it's unreasonable to see a bit more competitive cricket at Durham in 2023.
