Sorry spammer, but this has just come up on Youtube, I dont wait for alerts on twitter like you and post anything everywhere.

Please dont report me for upsetting you :(
typical durham social media, just put something on youtube now that was on twitter 2 weeks ago,

hope they havnt also posted a link to their website that never opens

but despite my moaning it looks great hope it gets started soon
Thats why I posted it I thought it was new

Best of luck to the designers getting that through the updated Part L of the building regs. Far too much glass.
My 2nd thought is I hope they have considered glare from the glass as its South facing and at a 90 degree angle to the square so could be right in the bowlers/batters eyes.
Midday sun would probably be too high for this to be an issue during the months that Cricket is played.

I am not against the idea of developing a hotel at the ground but the proposed design is a bit of a shoe box. As you are dealing with a rectangular stadium with lots of straight lines sticking a flat roofed box on one end of it looks a bit grim and it will look worse with the passage of time. Something a bit more imaginative and not so utilitarian looking is needed. Something that will give the ground a bit of a distinctive image rather than the look of a town centre development from the 1960's,

It’s virtually identical to the hotels at Old Trafford and Headingley, so a stock design? Probably intended to save on cost of design and also being confident that the planners will approve it.
