Meant in the HLSL if the "politics" go a certain way when he comes back from Uni

is this to do with 1/2 team players etc or something more intriguing. Love cricket gossip me :-)

Which league would be a step up for brandon?? Senior league?? Is the county league on par with the coast league?? i know the holland report had the leagues at certain steps on the pyramid but can't remember anything about it.

There is a lobby at our club that want the 3rd team to be made up of kids and lads that can't get into the second team. This would in my opinion mean we would not be able to compete in the 1st division.

My youngn and I have ran the team for about 4 year we just about stay in the division by playing a balance of decent cricketers and a blend of young lads to develop

Getting beat every week won't develop the kids

If it doesn't go our way at the AGM don't think we will want to be involved next year and may look at another option for a game on a Sunday

We would like to go into the senior league. We feel we have the facilities and could compete but it looks like we will wait and see what the options are with the scrapping of the pyramid system.

Is it not right that 'lesser' players get a game on a Sunday instead of others hogging it by playing 2s and 3s all season though?

It's a fair and important point

No problem with "lesser" players playing our team is well balanced with lads that can't get into the seconds and canny youngns. I have been involved in the HLSL for a good few years and have seen it become much more competitive since the two division structure. Any body we play would tell you we play in a good spirit all get involved we have lost games sticking to lesser bowlers when the game gets tight. The midweek league has provided a good platforms for some lads and has been great for the club this year.

A poor team won't compete in the 1st division if the club want to not be very competitive so be it I personally don't think that will help with cricket development which is the main objective of this team
