Today is the day the DCL will be decided, in what has been dubbed MAMMOTH MONDAY!! (By me ).

Anyway, Esh Winning are at home to (3rd placed) Willington while Brandon travel to mid-table Langley Park.

A win for Esh and they are champions, but anything else and Brandon could pip them at the post.

I've been on to the local turf accountant in the clerb and he is offering Esh at 1/3 while Brandon are 9/2.

On a serious note, it should be a cracker of a day and whoever ends up as Champions will be fully deserving of the title.

is it the last day of the county league today?

if it is its a bit early in it?

coast league has 2 more saturdays left.

Langley Park made 109 and Brandon 110-5 off about 27 overs.

Esh won easy I heard.

So congratulations to them, deserved winners, the table doesn't lie but we've been left cursing the weather. The Marsden washout away from home and the defeat at Willington when coasting to victory are the 2 notable games which could've left us champions but c'est la vie. There's always next year but it'll be a long old winter with nee cricket!

Your seasons finished already?!

Durham County League season is indeed over for this year.

Still a couple of games left for the thirds of course in the HLSL but other than that we've arrived at the winter . Lad, was it f***ing cold at Langley today n arl!

That's really early :-(

We still have potentially four games left, two to win to get promoted, two to win to win the cup.

Lost Hylton and Etherly so less games.

Played a double header so next Saturday is free for the England game

Where have Hylton gone? Will other clubs be replacing them?

Back to the Coast League travel being the issue I would guess

The County League is a very good level of cricket but is run in a way that it will disintegrate

Senior League second division will see the Coast/County Leagues fall into disarray

Pyramid system is fucked

Is it??
I'd heard that the senior league were trying to have a 2nd division. I guess that means they are pulling out of the pyramid system but does that mean the rest are out as well?? I know the pyramid had some iffy points but surely it's better for clubs trying to move on in the game??

Pyramid system abandon mid way throughout the season

So has that put paid to brandons promotion dreams?? Is it now back to resign from one league and apply to another league??
