Durham at south north

Couldn’t see the thread for this (if one). Haven’t been to south north for a Durham game. Is it normally well attended? Do you bring your own chairs?

Have only been last season. It was packed. There were some chairs but not enough. Had a good day and the cricket was excellent.

Only issue for me was that I was on the pavilion side and the toilets there were unavailable, so you had to walk right round the ground. Some people near me were just going out and using the toilets in Wetherspoons as it was closer.

Cheers mate. Can you bring your own drinks or is it refreshments at the ground?

In 2019 I took my deckchair and to be honest there wasn't that many in attendance however in 2021 I decided not to bother with the chair and got there early to claim one of the benches which are set back from the boundary. However I hadn't planned on it being so packed with folk in deckchairs sitting three/four deep in front of me and a constant...and I mean constant flow of spectators walking in front of me on their way to toilets/bars.

All the portaloos are on the Eastern side of the ground and you have to walk all the way round the ground as the end allocated to corporate hospitality makes it inaccessible.

I have also been reliably informed that the facilities at the ground for females is woeful.

I've bought the £5 bus ticket. Can't be arsed with driving through/parking etc. Can you park inside the Riverside ground?

I’m sure it’s free if you are getting the club bus. The parking in Gosforth is pretty dreadful and I had thought about the bus, even though CLS is the opposite direction for me. Too late now I expect 😁

Think i've decided not to bother with this one now. stream should be available, even if not i'll just take in the commentary. will probably get meself along to the home games that are actually at home, where possible
