Or Hastings has turned up in Taunton?

Or Sangakkara has decided he liked playing for us so much he's decided to retire from international duties and sign on for the rest of the season?

How f***ing anti-climactic is that??

The club really don't know its fans do they. BIG NEWS would be to announce a new signing, seeing how we're incredibly light in bowling and batting reserves. f***ing amateurs.
 
Pleased for the lad. Cracking player. nice family as well. his Father Joe is a top man!
 
It's not earth shattering news but it's good news none the less, Rushy was one of the lads in his last year and there were a couple of other Counties waiting to pounce come the end of the season. He deserves it, he's worked hard and he's even taken a year off the drink which for a cricketer is a big ask. He's our leading wicket taker so far so let's hope it spurs him on for the rest of the season.
 
Durham do tend to go overboard with their announcements on Twitter.

Yes it's great that Rushy extended his contract but it's not a "Lets have a big fanfare" type announcement.

as above, he has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years.
