What changes would people like to see for next year?

What can we do differently next year to avoid a repeat of this year?

Who is likely to come into the side or who do you want to come into the side?

I just hope at the beginning of the season they dont go back to Muchall as they always do. Keep the likes of Jennings and Wood in and try and produce wickets that are a little bit more balanced between bat and ball.

Not sure if their contracts are about to expire but it is probably the end of the road for Harmy & Plunkett. I think Blacky may go as well.

Youngsters like Jennings, Harrison & Wood already show potential in the first team and I hope we see more of them next season.

It would be a wise move to sign a couple of England Lions standard players, who are not really going to break into the Test side. The wages that Blackwell, Harmison and MDV were on could be best put to use in investing in long term contracts for such players. I happen to think that Joe Denly would have been a good addition prior to his move to Middlesex. We could do worse than offer Adam Lyth and Andrew Gayle contracts.

Re engaging Chanderpaul is not such a bad idea either. Maybe enticing kolpack players will be a quick fix. It's the batting that requires surgery, in particular the top order, no doubt.

Couldn't agree more about the 3 youngsters athough I'm a bit concerned about Harrison fitness history.

Harmison has one more year on his contract and Plunkett signed a new 2 or 3 year contract at the end of last season as did Blackwell. Lot of money tied up there for no return!

One good overseas batsmen, preferably a young Aussie-I'm sure Diva could recommend one for us-is all that is required to strengthen the present team in my opinion.

I'd love a proper opener. I'd love to see someone like Hughes at Durham, he showed so much class yesterday.

Harmison needs booting out the club for good and Muchall should be no where near the LVCC squad. Get shot of Plunkett as well.

We've got a good crop of young lads such as Stokes, Borthwick, Wood, Raine, Richardson, Jennings, Rushy and Harrison all coming through nicely. We need to work hard with these lads and make sure they know they are set to play a big part in the future of the club. It's worth noting that our 2nd XI team are into the semi final of their competition as well, proof we have some good young talent. Singh/Coughlin played against Australia A.

Colly, Benks and Thorp have proven they are good enough and that the age issue is just a pathetic/easy excuse to make. We need this experience to stick around at the club, as it's proven to be massively valuable recently.

Jennings is going to be something special, massive hope for this lad.

A new opener, a new middle order batsman and get rid of Harmison and Plunkett

Don't think we need a middle order batsman for next season.

Mustard, Borthwick, Benks, Colly, Wood, Richardson are all more than capable in the middle order.

An opener will be the number 1 priority for next season. Personally I think it's all we need. As already mentioned, would love to see us go and sign Hughes from Worcester.

I'll be delighted IF Harmison fucks off.

Am absolutely not suggesting we look at him, but talk of the amount of wages Harmison/Plunkett are bleeding from the club got me thinking about Pieterson.

If/when he loses his central contract, will any county be able to afford him? How long has he got left on his current Surrey deal? Or will he price himself into being a freelance 20/20 only cricketer?

VVS Laxman as a overseas player for me. Very, very good player in all competitions.

Harmison has 1 year left and will see it out to the bitter end and there is nothing Durham can really do about it. However Durham will probably try and put him out on loan again as Collingwood simply wont have him in his team. I think that Plunkett and Blackwell will go at the end of the season.

hopefully one or two others wont be given new contracts for no other reason other than its time to move on and build another side.

I too would like too see far more next season of Wood and co. and hopefully the likes of Raine and Pringle, maybe Singh will make the grade as well.

What we desperately need though is a quality opening batsman.

I wouldnt have KP at any price.

alot of people suggesting a new opener - but also hoping jennings will make it.. Jennings is an opener, i think it's likely we will see him there next season unless we do sign an overseas opener. I think collingwood's presence will give us a more international profile to sign overseas players, not that that was really an issue in the past anyway.

Stoneman, Jennings, Smith, Stokes, Benkenstein, Collingwood, Mustard, Borthwick, Wood, Rushworth, Onions

with Thorp, Claydon, Harrison, Brathwaite, Breesy to bring in when needed
But only Muchall and Richardson as spare batters. Not out of the question to drop smith for richardson, putting him 7 or 8 and moving everyone up.

Spot on the person who said work needs to be done on the wicket to produce something capable of picking up batting points on

Conditions have dictated that this season, very little the groundstaff have been able to do.

All we need is an opener.
