Some fucker from Washington looking down on SunderlandSomeone I know who is from Washington but because their family are/were from Newcastle have never really bothered going into Sunderland and always had the usual misconceptions about it, went through to Sunderland on the drink yesterday afternoon and was impressed with it. The few places they went to they liked and they said the town as a whole was a lot nicer than they thought it would be as it’s been a while since they’d been.
The point of the post was a positive one. Whether people like it or not, this is the misconception a lot of people outside of Sunderland (the town, not wider City of Sunderland) have or have had for years about the place. And in fairness the town and its eating/drinking options weren’t all that appealing for a long time to ‘outsiders’. The point being perceptions are now changing as the town has and continues to improve. Nowt wrong with Washington either, plenty of nice, quiet, leafy parts to live making it a good place to live for many. Some fucker from Washington looking down on Sunderland

It's absolutely shite as well. It's got to be the most depressing place in town to have a drink in.Seems weird. Its not like they're knocking it down . Pubs get make overs or new owners all the time
It was canny when it opened and slowly declined . There's worse in town I'd say .It's absolutely shite as well. It's got to be the most depressing place in town to have a drink in.
Not for me like. I'd rather sit in Joseph's.It was canny when it opened and slowly declined . There's worse in town I'd say .
