Drawn at home to Mags in FA Cup

I think clubs called out NP ahead of the Defoe game mate.

Regarding the buses: they actually worked pretty well at first. I can remember getting one for the second 2-1 game and it departed the SOL at 1pm

After that though, they made a total mess of things. I can remember one year when the buses left at 9.30 😂

I can also remember one year having to wait 2hrs to leave SJP
My mind may be a bit hazy over the timings. There was a bubble trip arranged for the second 3-0 at their place but the plan was changed in the week leading up to it. I remember because I boycoutted the match and I’ve never forgiven NP for it since.

I think you’re right the clubs may have called the police out prior to the Defoe game.

As I say, they made some commitment to look at all available kick off times but they weren’t true to their word.

Judging by the amount of people that have already asked me for tickets, some of which haven’t been in years… I reckon it will sell quicker than the Luton playoff which took less than an hour
Same experience for me, lads who only ask for Wembley tickets who don’t live up here asking for tickets and coming up for it will sell out in no time

My dad has asked me to get him a ticket and he never gans.
I reckon most season card holders will secure their seat this time as the general sale will be a free for all

All of the above I can see happening aye, but I can very much see them building and moving to a soulless new stadium somewhere like Longbenton.

On par with Arsenal for the price of a season ticket, tourists and day trippers galore roll in.

Your average working class mag punter who has had a season ticket on the Gallowgate/Leazes for 40 odd years will be priced out. A good few already have been.

Most of them are too (literally) sportswashed already to comprehend the above will even happen and some will be frothing at the gums once it does but by then it won't matter about pleasing fans of a football team as the aim of the PIF ownership ultimately isn't about footballing success at the end of the day.

They're being used to gain influence in the UK and the west over the next decade or two and they're too thick right now to even realise.

Be careful what you wish for, albeit that phrase is over 2 years too late.

Aye a new stadium, 65,000 seats with STs starting at £2k.

They’ll get sporting success eventually because it’ll turn into a Gulf pissing contest between them and the Abu Dhabi’s etc, but it won’t be “newcastle” in any meaningful sense. Once Howe has done the donkey work of establishing the club he’ll be straight out the door the first excuse they get, and replaced by Conte or whoever with Chelsea-esque spending and squad harmony.

Stadium half empty for all but the glamour ties because the tourists don’t fancy it and the locals can’t afford it. But it’s all fine for FFP because the Saudi state buys 75% of the season tickets to give away for nowt.

I’ve said before, I’ll always hope we beat them for what they represent, but I don’t regard this as a derby any longer. We thumped them six times in a row, went 9 unbeaten and then they ceased to exist. Eternal victory is ours.

Same. Went to the 3-0 PDC game, had a ticket for the second one, but refused to go on a bubble trip, gave the ticket to a mate, then they changed their stance and said we could get through however we wanted. Never forgiven them, or myself!

Last season alone -

Fleetwood 2-1 QPR
Ipswich 4-1 Rotherham
Bournemouth 2-4 Burnley
Blackpool 4-1 Nottingham forest
Coventry 3-4 Wrexham
Sheff wed 2-1 Newcastle
Villa 1- 2 Stevenage

That's one year. 6 results that are equal to or more unlikely than us beating these fuckers. It's way way more possible than people are making out
whether they were a tier below or not I'm not sure Ipswich battering Rotherham in any lifetime is more unlikely than us turning over the barcodes 😅😅
