Drawn at home to Mags in FA Cup

The lot of them are absolutely terrified, make no mistake about it.
I've been in work half an hour and already had 2 mags ask me how i'm feeling about it. At this point i couldn't be more relaxed about it. We're expected to get beat comfortably so there's little pressure on our lads really. If we were to even draw the game that would be absolutely huge. I'm looking forward to it for that reason alone, it's strange to be going into a derby where we're we 2nd favourites by this much.

I just hope we have a few decent results in the games building up to it so we go into it with some confidence. HWTL

While I’d love for this to happen, unfortunately they’re a bit of a nightmare match up for us tactically.

They throw crosses into the box pretty much non stop, our biggest weakness is defending crosses.
Ah year compared to them on paper we are weak as piss but one off game anything can happen. Just gotta make sure the likes of 09 don’t do anything daft, having players on yellows or even reds will be fatal.
also hope their injury list keeps piling up too so they are massively weakened

This is the biggest game of the season for BOTH sets of fans so let’s have no more BS.

We are not going to get promoted and they won’t win anything this season.

Its everything.
Not so sure me like, Obviously I would absolutely love to beat them, I'm not expecting anything other than a defeat.

At the end of the day it's a free hit for us, We're not expected to get anything. Their team has been put together on about half a billion quid, Ours has been cobbled together for about 10 million, it's unfathomable for them to lose this, which would make it so sweet if we somehow done it.

Look at their fixture list. The match will be slap bang between Liverpool away and City at home. Plus if they beat a shit Chelsea in the LC they’ll have a semi final around then too. Their injury list is atrocious and it’ll be very early in the January window so not like they’ll have 7 new world beaters to play.

They’ll have to play a bunch of teenagers man. We’ll win.

Not that any of them will be interested by the actual football. Plus If any Saudi Mates did buy us I'd be out like a shot, as should anyone who's had a go at Mags for accepting the same
Worra about other M.East awabs buying us, is that ok?

Clarke I think at about £3m? He’d be against Trippier (smashing player)

Clarke to my knowledge is clearly your biggest threat but him up against Trippier and also the work rate of Almiron up and down that flank will be by far his toughest challenge yet.
It’s a huge platform and opportunity for him to show he can do it at that level.

I have never felt more relaxed about playing the skunks in my life. Normally it's a very tense affair. But this match is so much different from those gone before. The Mags have sold their soul for the devils purse and have splashed the blood stained cash. They are rightly red hot favourites for this one. So yes it is a free hit for us. Far from being worried our young lads will be relishing the chance to play against a team from the premier league. The fact that it's the barcodes should only add to their enthusiasm. What an opportunity to showcase their talents. We will back them all the way. Ha'way lads heads down and give it your best shot. FTM.

There seems to be a lot of interest in this match from the mags. Strange as they are very quick to tell anyone that will listen that we are irrelevant and there's no derby anymore.

As said before, its the absolute perfect game for them. If it was possible to fix a draw, theyd have picked this one.

It feeds the narrative that they are still part of the North East and a proper football club acting normally. Which of course we know, is not the case.

I'm looking forward to it. 90% win for them but just imagine if we win  FA cup. They don't always play out like normal games. Derby games normally don't play out like normal games. Yes they are owned by scum and sold their souls but we have a bit of time between now and then to get the young lads heads round to what it means. I'm planning a trip back home for this one. If we lost to a champions league team then it's expected but I'll enjoy the sing song and if we win then well just imagine man .....What the FA cup is all about

Nobody i know is playing it down. Everyone is a combination of nerves and excitement. It's a Derby, it's the FA Cup, it's a chance to play each other again sooner then we otherwise might have. Its always a big game.
