Drawn at home to Mags in FA Cup

We may as well be playing against Real Madrid or Barcelona with the gap between sides man. That difference has been brought in and bought by a Saudi dictatorship.

Our lack of confidence isn’t telling at all. When you were bottom of the league before Saudi ownership did you have confidence you’d get a result against Man City and Liverpool?

Once again you are talking utter shit. This game isn’t a derby anymore it’s a club with unlimited oil and blood money against a team trying to settle itself after 4 years in league one.
I get what you say about Saudi ownership but this fixture remains a massive derby game.

Desperate for us to be arrogant.

If this was 2015 we might be, but it isnt. The rivalry cant just pick up where it left off, too much has changed.

They can enjoy all the success they will get, but Sunderland vs Newcastle is not the same and wont be until there's some kind of parity between the reams.

Mags have more to fear than us with this. Its a free hit. If they beat us, so they should with the money they've spent. Anything less than a good hiding won't be enough for them and their fans with an even higher level of self inflated arrogance.

They are in for a shock.

I think it goes to a replay and it'll kill them if it does.

Its a bigger game than any other draw, but its less of a deal than it has been in probably 20 years in terms of two teams battling it out for bragging rights.

The only tension is that we haven't played in so long.

In that time we have plumbed depths that Newcastle fans cant imagine, and gone through real actual sufffering as a club. They've progressed every year since whilst we are just getting back on our feet.Throw in the saudi backing and it becomes almost an irrelevance as a competitive fixture.

This is why I actually think Boro v SAFC has the potential to become a decent derby in the coming years, theres 2 teams that are much more closely matched and could contest a competitive derby.

Never would worry if those yellow bastards were a few higher divisions than us.
Give me 90 minutes for the opportunity to express my hatred of them is good enough for me. Sure we hate to get beat but your chance to show them pride, passion and your Club.
Above all made in the NE not some Arabic plastic shit show.
Bring the house down. If games like this don’t get you in the stomach then it’s not for you. You will be up for it.🔥

I'm gutted as we booked to take our nephews to London that weekend to Harry Potter World. We were originally booked for 20th but realised we had a home game so transferred to 6th 😢😢

The first 'derby' without jeopardy. Sporting jeopardy was always massive in this fixture over the years, with 53 wins each after nearly a century and a half. There was always that suspense in the build up of what the outcome could be.

For me that feeling simply isn't there. It's going to be strange.

And Newcastle fans will seize on this sentiment as us "pretending we dont care". If we were arrogant and confident they would call us deluded. We actually cant win. The propaganda machine must go on.

Mags seem very rattled at us saying the pressure is all on them and it's not embarrassing if we lose.

They hate the fact we are huge underdogs now and that all the neutrals will be rooting for us against the Saudis. They loved to think they were everyone's second team but now they are increasingly becoming hated and it will only get worse as they spend more and more blood money each season.

This will be the first derby for me where I can just enjoy the day, no nerves or anything. So long as we don't just roll over I will not be upset if we lose. A win will be absolutely terrific though and they'd never live it down.

The underdogs Vs everything thats wrong with football
