Drawn at home to Mags in FA Cup

There’s huge pressure on SAFC. You have to try and compete against a top quality side in front of a demanding crowd.
The pressure is firmly on to not just put a shift in but to try and match quality which will be difficult given the big gulf.
Thinking there’s no pressure is massively complacent and you should be really hopeful that the manager and team aren’t thinking the same. I’d be amazed if they were though.
£350,000,000 vs a team finding their feet in the championship after 4 seasons in league one. Behave man. When you win you’ll all treat it as a special day as well.

It’s easy to see us getting demolished considering the number of goals they’ve scored this season and our backline but I’m optimistic it’ll be closer than it looks on paper.

Between now and the match, they will build the game up to such levels, it will just be ridiculous. It won’t just be the plastic lot either.

The first thing they will have ago about is their allocation. You will hear “the mackems are terrified” nonsense when they realise they have less than 3000. They will then fixate on which players will be fit

15% in fa cup. So 6500 roughly

But it should be as routine a win as is possible? It's obviously big but surely it's less so than in the last because the clubs are so far apart now

For me, it’s a derby so it’s no bigger or smaller than any previous ones.
I’m genuinely surprised your playing it down despite being so far apart.
Can only play in our favour if yous are writing it off I suppose.

Far from it for us, if and we somehow get into the play offs they are much bigger games. Since the saudi regime we are no longer on a level playing field and its now not the Newcastle Utd we once knew, its an oil ran despicable club who have sold their soul, shameful to think we are from the same region and will see fans dressed up as saudis in the away end
Agree on two counts -If you gave me a choice of winning v Mags or a play off game -the play off game would be it …this derby is simply not on a level playing field -doesn’t mean I don’t want us to really go for it and play our respective full side -will be blood and thunder I would hope and the groundsman makes it like a river !!

Not complacent just realistic -a team that’s spent hundreds of millions and gone from the bottom of the league to the top because of it vs one built for next to nowt…easy team talk to give …

We’re red hot favourites undoubtedly. But I’d be amazed if Mowbray goes for “these are great and we’ve no chance” approach

oh 100% I hope the players give it everything and if it does go wrong the fans realise these are young lads up against a state owned club and dont get on their backs,
