Bruce wasn't turned on 'quickly' at all. Even after months of dire results and performances it was only when he started having pops at the fans to deflect from his own shite performance that the fans responded in kind.

There was virtually no fan pressure on O'Neill at all which in hindsight was f***ing remarkable when you consider how dreadful the football was as we were sleepwalking towards relegation under him and the culture in the dressing room allegedly resembling an 18-30 holiday camp rather than conducting themselves like a bunch of highly paid professional athletes.

Even Di Canio was only really turned on by the fans en-masse after he went and the stories about him being a complete twat to all and sundry came to light. The bloke was absolutely hopeless and it was a monumental mistake from Short to give him a contract beyond the end of 2012/13, if I remember rightly somebody on here spoke to Short after we beat Man United to get to Wembley and even he said that he wanted to sack Di Canio during pre-season.

Poyet was a strange one mind. Things under him were either really good or really shite with nowt in between and in hindsight he was absolutely spot on about Short and it sounds like he was massively undermined by Congerton in the summer transfer window.

Wrong.

O'Neill and Poyet were never hounded out.

Bruce had two very bad spells, the first we went 14 games without a win, the second I believe we won only 2 games in 13 at the start of the season, we would have likely gone down with Bruce. What didn't help was him regularly blaming fans, suggesting our expectations were too high, which was simply not true.

Di Canio went because there was a players revolt, again, he was not hounded out.

Our fans have actually been very patient all things considered. Try again.

I think it’s ok to not agree with the statement - everyone can have their opinions
I don’t consider it wise to post it on here at this current time , it undermines what the collective group are trying to achieve
Its time for Solidarity not fragmentation

The loss of Bent was a big blow but there was still more than enough talent in the squad Bruce had for the rest of 2010/11 to keep things ticking along relatively nicely but it completely fell apart as soon as he went. We played Chelsea on the 1st February and if we'd beaten them that night we'd have been 1 point off a Champions League place but we only ended up securing survival with 2 games left thanks to a horrific run of form.

And only real audible anti Bruce stuff came after westwood fucked up against Wigan (?) and that was in the 80+ minute of his last game.

They were, marra. I would ask them why they didn't go and do some old fashioned investigative journalism and find out what exactly was going on then.
 
Excellent statement. Parkinson is deluded calling himself a good manager. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the club. A decent human being would resign.
As for Donald. He probably meant well when he bought the club but he’s on the look out for a profit too much. He needs to go to these Americans and beg them to take over with a minimal fee, cut his losses and admit he’s failed.

What if you thibk the current group are fragmenting the squad/team at a crucial time.
I mean, who the fuck in their right mind would want to join us now.
I honestly can't understand why they couldn't have waited till the end of the transfer window, unless they have more info, which they need to share to convince me the current regime have to go, 6 months after we were all relatively ok with the situation.
We're not even giving him a transfer window to sort out the team, and as I said, the statement has reduced the likely hood of that happening further!

I thought he'd done wonders financially?
Last season he spent adequately for a team in league one.
At the end of the season you'd think JR would have told him what we needed, it was in hindsight a disastrous window.

We've not had one since. At the beginning of the season, bookies, fans and the owners thought we had enough to win the league. We now know this isnt the case.
We're not letting anyone resolve the situation by demanding this before the window opens.
And as said, who would join us now?
