I think he has great promise both in batting and bowling. He has a decent technique for a number 9 and I think he will only improve with experience with the ball.

if he plays in India that will be a huge test for the lad but hopefully he will succeed

Thought Bess batted very well with Root in our second innings, really important knock that at a crucial stage of the game.
I like him, and hope he bowls well in India. Still got rough edges and lots to improve on of course but I hope he does it, there is potential there.
However I’d also like to see Moeen back in the side and batting & bowling well, and with Leach looking the better bowler at the moment and the form of the seamers, I’m not sure how we go about fitting them all in.
