we are taking our baby lab for its final injections tomorrow before he is unleashed on the world of other dogs, been told to wait a week after these 2nd lot of shots to take him out, just curious would you wait any longer? Just to be sure?

Nah, just take their advice.

Try to keep him away from anything nasty. I’d say that to any dog owner, with any age dog, but especially puppies.

Nasty = shit and carcasses.

First injection usually has them covered anyway, really depends on when he was weaned off his mother. The second injection is just to make sure that he no longer has any of his mothers antibodies still in his blood stream, which is the real reason most breeders sell after just one injection.

What Lab is he / she?
Get him around some nice friendly natured dogs as soon as possible.
Would have another one if I could. Everyone has an opinion but without doubt up there with the best dogs you can have.
Had 4 and everyone a loving, loyal and gentle great soft lump.

This one just shy of 40kg and not any fat on him.

They need at least 2 long walks a day and make sure you don’t over feed as Labs have a chemical imbalance when it comes to food and being hungry.
The will eat and eat and eat.
Streams and Rivers ........... just make sure you have some spare towels.

Enjoy it mate and the bond you will have is simply unreal and their own characters and habits will leave you with pure joy.
