Does anyone think we stay up?

I think if the new players settle in quickly enough, we are better placed than Wolves, Brentford, Burnley, Leeds. We only have to finish above 3 of those and we're ok.

I think getting up to 14th or 15th or thereabouts is achievable too given some of the teams in the lower half. For the first season back though, 17th would do for now.

I was at the play off final wow one of the best days ever. My first game watching the lads was Gillingham away in the okay off when we lost 3-2. My dad announced we were going with my Mum and we literally paid on the door wow!

The betting markets gave us about 12 points off safety coming 19th.

What’s the vibe everyone?

Personally I think without someone who can score goals we will go down. But there’s hope for us all and the next few games will tell us whether we have any chance of staying up !
Aye a wouldn’t bother going if I thought otherwise saying that we will know after 5 games with out fixtures whether we’re capable of staying in this league

What is interesting is I've seen most British journo's and ex players say we'll go down and a few European ex players and journo's suggest the opposite.
Effectively the argument is that most people here haven't seen much of our players and in effect, they are really good.

Below being an example...

French owner and French manager means the French media will have a light bias towards us. I'd be over the moon with European qualification but I can't see it yet.

First 3 games will be a great guide as fo how we are going to go. Was hoping for another striker as we are going to have to hope one of the youngsters really shine.

None of the 3 have got much in up top I really don’t rate DCL at all

I really do think we have a decent chance. Our player's are not proven, but when you look back at the 6 sides that were promoted in the past 2 years, most of them have not had the quality or ambition that we have showed. Clubs like Luton, Ipswich, Sheffield United, Burnley either didn't upgrade their teams much (Luton) or bought Championship players (Ipswich). Luton came closest with a team that consisted of a large number of players from League 1 and even non-league in 23/24 to fund their stadium. I think this makes the gap between the Championship and Premier League look bigger than it actually is. Hopefully I am right, but it does remind me of a 'Black Swan' event.

I can't see you going down tbh, I think you may surprise a few people. I don't know enough about a lot of the players you have bought, but I suspect the ambition the owner has showed will in itself spread through the club. This and being back at the top table will be crucial, you can't buy that kind of confidence! I just get a sense that people are starting to go, ok maybe this is something to watch. Fair play to the owners! If you can avoid relegation with something to spare and carry that feel-good factor and ambition into next season then the club is big enough and historic enough to be taken seriously.

Enjoy the weekend lads and lasses...

I called Forest to struggle this season😎😜
Seems like an interesting part of the season right now. A lot of teams clustered around the same points tally as us but at the same time a lot of the big boys clearly aren’t performing. Liverpool on a wobble for example. That and Leeds, Burnley, Brentford, Forest and West Ham are cushioning the bottom of the table.

Even at the top it’s pretty uninteresting football. Watched the tail and of the Chelsea game before the match on Saturday and it was so sterile

I don’t see anybody but maybe Brentford getting away from that bottom seven cluster, and the only team I could imagine getting dragged into it are Sunderland, but hopefully not.
