I've never ever said I know more about the game than those at the top, but that's not how this started, your conveniently changing the goal posts.
It started because you said people who hadn't played football didn't understand the game, you then gave people who haven't played so who, in your opinion don't understand the game, permission to go to the game. You then called us idiots and said we can't separate passion from reality. I'm perfectly capable of separating passion from reality man who do you think you are to tell me otherwise

I never gave anybody permission you are talking nonsense and sensationalising. People who haven't played can't possibly have as good a grasp as those who have this is basic common sense. How many times before this actually computes?

They've all played either professionally or semi professional though which is my point. Being a top player doesn't make you the oracle but they know what it takes to play the game which is a start.

Hansen, Houghton, Merson, le Tissier....all very successful managers putting their knowledge back into the game.
However no one can comment or indeed understand the game unless they played it at top level.

Backed down from what? I've qualified what I meant. What ladies have I abused? Me and Janey left it on very good terms actually. A quite charming young lady as it happens.
That's the difference with us Bonny lad . I can be getting it from all a angles yet manage to maintain my dignity whereas whenever you're faced with similar situations resort to abuse and end up being banned .
The mods can't be wrong constantly kidda .

In direct reply to post 1. Count me out. The mags are often risible, laughable, sad, pathetic, bitter, deluded, unreasonably contemptuous of us, figures of fun on a national scale.

But to hate them would be to sink to their level. And in any case I cannot be bothered.
