Disneyland Paris…

Stop twisting about the price then
Welcome back to the thread Denny. I just find it a bump. Day before we arrive only £57. Suppose it’s the peak of peak season when we going.

I’ll enjoy myself though, as will the family and that’s all that matters.

Taking the granddaughter in October. She'll be 12 so has to pay full price 🤬

What are the best rides? Is it easy to park? Is there a parade on the night and is it worth staying for?

Thanks

There’s only like £5 difference in kids to adult ain’t there? Florida this year was £2 per day, 560 kid 585 adult for 14 days.

The drone show alongside the fireworks is brilliant.

If you're in a hotel there's plenty parking. Not sure about coming for the day.

Best rides - Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Tower of Terror, Hyperspace Mountain. The new Spiderman ride is fun. I like the Buzz Lightyear one. The classics are the Classics - Pirates of the Carribbean, Star Tours, Haunted Mansion. Some rides, especially in Fantasyland, aren't worth the queue if she's not interested.

They have live shows in Avengers Campus if you can get a seat and wait about.

Best place to catch a character without queuing for hours is to the right of It's A Small World as you look at it. There's a fence with doors across the walkway and that's where they pop out of. That's also the start of the parade route so do it there and then you can hit rides while it goes all the way down to the park entrance.

Download the app - there's free WiFi in the park and it gives you wait times, what shows are on etc.

You’re not wrong. Priced that up last year and it’s mental for what it is.

Went a couple of weeks back on a Tuesday when it was still £30, didn't queue once, went on every big ride within an hour, left after about 2 hours.

Weirdly I think the queues were needed to build expectation, not looking forward to the queues at DLP when I go in August.

Also those DLP costs are about a 1/3 of our 5 day holiday (we are 2 adults, 1 child, I assume they are 2 adults, 2 children) so might as well stay on site imo, however if it's part of a larger holiday I get that may not be practical.

Big thunder is closed still.

The tickets cost I paid? Was 2 adults 1 kid. Xmas eve and Xmas day in park. (Proper peak season I know) Was booked on a whim yesterday. As wife has xmas off this year and fancied going away to surprise the kids.

It'll be extra nice at Christmas. Must be weird being in a theme park on Christmas Day.

Excellent...thanks

For a person of a certain age I'm looking forward to it too :)

Aye. It’s like double (and some more) the price for Halloween night, Xmas eve and day, New Year’s Eve and day.

Gonna have Xmas day here on the 22/12 before we head off.

You’ll be a Disney adult in no time and find yourself on this thread soon enough :

I said before on that thread that weirdly Disney is a bug that bites hard and can’t be shaken 😂

Tbf I hate Disney in terms of what they're producing these days, but there's not a whiff of it in the parks and I still enjoy them. Even California where I was expecting it to be unbearable.
They know the shit they now do in movies and shows with their political statements just doesn't fly with vast majority of the customers.

I felt a bit bad for the cast members they had as unpopular characters who were just ignored. Got a photo with Ms Marvel out of sympathy for the poor girl.

Last Disney thing I watched was Toy Story 4. Never seen pretty much everything they’ve made or make or own. Marvel doesn’t interest me. Star Wars has never interested me. I just like kicking about their theme parks.
Does it have a downtown Disney / springs type area where I can go for a few beers and some bait on a night? I’ve just gone through photos from 2023 and I can’t see any of that type of thing but we just trained in and out from canal st Martin area.
