They will want to integrate him into their squad for team building and tactical reasons. Allowing him to play some part at Brighton works for both us and them. They can't give him meaningful minutes unless its in the group games and if gets say 30 mins at Brighton they will be happier putting him in.

They won't want him rocking up 2 days before a knockout match though.
 
Give him at least 45 mins . If he cant do that without reaction he needs to be here getting physio and 20 minute cameos over Christmas. If he can fair enough , let Senegal play him half games until hes fully match fit .
 
Our medical staff should have just played it cautiously and told them he's not going to be ready for a few weeks, no point in risking sending him over there where they won't look after him and he'll be playing 90 every game.

Hopefully they go out in the groups.

Their medical staff will have been monitoring the rehab and Diarra himself will be talking to them. I am sure they won't risk the player but you are correct they will only be focused on AFCON.

Reinildo probably gonna get grouped and likely Traore knocked out first knockout round if they get a bad draw.

Selfishly hoping Congo get Morrocco or something too first knock out round and go out.

Looking at the draw actually if Congo finish 2nd behind Senegal they might play Algeria if they win group E

these things never work simply but if all went as “expected”, Burkina Faso would probably meet Ivory Coast or Cameroon in the second round and likely lose

Talbi and Diarra probably the most likely to be doing to at least the semis you'd imagine. Be great to have Sadiki and Traore back by the time we go to Everton in the cup
