Hardly mental at all. England would probably not take an injured player to a tournament except their absolute talisman. Funny how people are wise after the fact on here.Mental people thought he wouldn't go. Was obvious when he got injured he'd still go.
I said it at the time on this thread.Hardly mental at all. England would probably not take an injured player to a tournament except their absolute talisman. Funny how people are wise after the fact on here.
Well done you. When a player has been out for three months it is not in the slightest bit 'mental' to think he wouldn't be selected.I said it at the time on this thread.
Hes one of their best players and even captained the team, its a nation without a huge depth of quality like England have. Anybody could have guessed this would happen. I said in September we probably wouldn't see him in a Sunderland shirt again until February, it was mainly blind hope that people thought he wouldn't be called up.
Only an injury setback on his recovery would have took him out their squad
Yet here we are like most said...Well done you. When a player has been out for three months it is not in the slightest bit 'mental' to think he wouldn't be selected.
I'm sure we've taken injured players over the years. He'll need games to get back to match fitness so hopefully he gets that during the AFCON and is ready to crack on with us on his return.Hardly mental at all. That's just life.If he ends up injured the meltdowns on here will be decent

Luke Shaw to last tournament.I'm sure we've taken injured players over the years. He'll need games to get back to match fitness so hopefully he gets that during the AFCON and is ready to crack on with us on his return.

If he comes back unscathed, and fitter match wise, isn't that a bonus?Absolute joke from our POV, I want our record signing playing for us after a long time out with an injury.
But I suppose I have to be happy for him. Everyone wants to represent their country.
He could be fit to start or on bench for Leeds the way he's training this weekIf he comes back unscathed, and fitter match wise, isn't that a bonus?
