crazy is we havent underperformed without him, just tweaked the formation a bit
If Diarra and Mundle are fit and well by the end of December I think they will add as much to our team as any January signings.

Good point, as we may, as has often been mentioned, miss several players for an international tournament
Diarra- hopefully unfit for AFCON then recovers
Sadiki - the player we will miss most
Masuaka- can’t get in our team
Reinildo - a miss but we have cover
Adingra - can’t get in our team
Traore - Fringe player or should be
Talbi - a miss but step forward Mundle
Not as bad as some appear to fear.

they are a loss- but it's not hard to pick a PL qualtiy starting 11 without them tbh- only three of our strating 11 against Chelsea will be missing (Reinildo, Sadiki and Traore)- and we've just done without Reinildo for three games and Traore isn't first choice.
Alderete and Rigg slot straigtht in for those two- Sadiki is a huge miss but we have plenty of options

I was worried when he got injured but I think we have won 3,drew 1 and lost 1 since the injury
Get through the Everton game and this buys us an extra 2 weeks of recovery time for him ,massive bonus when he comes back

He'll be doing whatever he can to be fit for us and AFCON . How much of a cert is he to get in the Senegal squad even if recovering from injury? Any chance they just take someone else ?
He was on the subs bench the last time he was in their squad
Having read an article in the Echo have had second thoughts about Diarra going to AFCON.
Probably a good idea then he can play his way back to form with his country rather than being rusty with us.
