Diarra near the end

I really like sadiki mind and think he will go on to be a great little player

However people saying we’ll get 80 million for him in the summer are in dreamland. Nobody is going to pay that much for a midfielder that doesn’t score or assist and goals and creates fuck all.

Hopefully that comes with time
Fair comments. We need a striker who scores like Haaland if everyone else scores once in a blue moon.

Drop him as the 3 in midfield should be Xhaka le fee and Sadiki. They're a good 3. He isnt a fit in there
Id argued this since his return. People wanting to shoehorn to get everyone in. It's between him and Le Fee for me. And Le Fees spot to lose. Couldn't care less about his price tag both in terms of forcing him into the 11 or when assessing his performances.

Mind I do think, as someone else said, he has looked better if Brobbey is up there.

I’d argue that our wingers aren’t good enough to leave one of Enzo or Diarra out. One of them needs to play out wide.

Wtf have Angulo and Ellborg done wrong like ?
Angulo is poor, he’s not done a lot right. A good defensive display against Leeds and that’s about it. For someone with excellent stats in the first half of the season in an attacking sense, he looks lost and consistently makes the wrong decision.

Diarra offers nothing for me like. You forget he's on the pitch at times.
I’m not convinced but he’s shown more productivity than the wide lads generally although I do think Talbi has something. The thing with Diarra for me is what type of midfielder is he?

Diarra is a transitional footballer imo, looks best when we win the ball and counter, on the turnovers etc. Don't think you're going to see the best of him in games against teams sitting in. Hes still probably scored the same amount as all of our midfielders combined from open play.

Our wingers are a bit similar in terms of they aren't good enough to create chance after chance and they get barely any support...because of how negative we are set up and how much of their energy is spent tracking back.

Our best run of results came this season playing the 5 at the back which wasn’t particularly popular at the time but logically it’s the best way of getting our best players on the pitch. I could see that system being more suited to Diarra tbf because he is good at getting you up the pitch. I’d be looking to play something like this for the mags game:

Roefs

Hume
Nordi
Ballard
Alderete
Reinildo

Xhaka
Sadiki

Diarra
Le Fee

Brobbey

He gave it a go today, looked like there’s a player there in all his appearances so far.
Too early to write him off, far from it.

Play that team & we would beat them.

He was weirdly playing really deep for the first 30/35 minutes doesn't match with any of the strengths he shown for us so far.

Had a decent last 10 minutes of the first half. Was poor in the sessions but I don't think how slow and ponderous we were helped him.
