Diarra lately

Poor today. Bigger picture; he's a young player new to the PL, let's see how he does next season before writing him off. I don't think RLB has found the right role for him yet which doesn't help.

Never thought I’d see a worse player than Gareth hall
To be fair we did not pay £30m for Gareth Hall.
Think we bought as he had good stats carrying the ball forward, not from what ive seen. Hes a poor mans jeff whitley...
He scored 1 in 10 for Strasbourg yet he is the man Brobbey is supposedly holding the ball up for.

We need an SKP type player up there with Brobbey.

I don’t want to join any bandwagon but he’s got to overly impress me at the moment.
However I think we’ve got to give players time some take longer than others to show what they’re capable of of.

Read this entire thread and most people's "Diarra is shite and a coward" opinions appear to boil down to his contribution to Brighton's goal today.

I thought he looked decent enough in the 4 games he played before his early season injury.

He was then missing for 4 months with that injury and AFCON.

He is still finding his feet after all of that (although he has still managed to knock 3 goals in, unlucky for it not to be 4) and has not long turned 22, still young.

He had a good time of it at Strabourg and has been a full cap for Senegal for two years now.

Probably a box to box midfielder, but it's tough to shine when you're playing for a defence minded Manager who set's up to win 1-0 at home and draw 0-0 away.

I'll definitely not be writing him off yet. Oh and he is our record signing at £30m

He looks like a total waste of £30m to me

I stand with @craigypants

I actually thought he played better today than on his last few outings. He still wasn't what I'd call "good" but I was watching him thinking "hopefully he's just been finding his feet again after his injury and he'll continue to improve like this; if so there might actually be a good player in there".
