Des has sadly passed away, absolute brilliant bloke. On the field a genius with the ball off it a down to earth fantastic man. RIP Des, thoughts with the family at this sad time x
 

Absolutely gutted. Played against him plenty and a lovely man. Great bowler, his action always reminded me of Courtney Walsh and a cool dude too. RIP Des
 
He was at ryhope when my dad was there early 90’s iirc. Remember seeing him as a kid and thinking he was a massive bloke but always seemed canny. RIP
