In a pub league you can

The second he comes to a big league he fucks up
The second he came in? Not true, he initially turned around their fortunes and helped the worst team in the league, crippled by debt, survive having been adrift when he arrived.

Any 'fuck up' he had came after the summer where at best he had to sell his best players to raise funds to service the debt and at worst had them sold from under him.

He's not my preferred choice for the job but his record at Bristol isn't nearly the failure that ignoramuses on here keep making it out to be.

Whether or not he is classed as a failure at Bristol City is irrelevant, Moyes was a success at Preston. I've always said that certain people fit certain clubs at a certain time (Lawrie Mac). Plenty of managers fail at one club and become a success at others. Its about getting the right fit for the club at the time and we need someone who is going to grab the bull by the horns and give the whole place a lift. Someone who see it as a privilege to manage us, not just a job. A manager who has the stones to instil the same into the players as well and not let the tail wag the dog.

He's done well at Aberdeen. You can't knock him for one job and discount the good job he's done at another club.

He had a bad half season, before being sacked, after saving them the previous year. You'd think he'd single-handedly caused them to plummet down the leagues the way some carry on, on here.

It should also be added that Jon Stead was their number 9. What chance have you got when that's the case?

The first manager in this new chapter of history for us is very likely going to be the whipping boy because of the club situation.

So when we inevitably have an indifferent start due to the mere fact we are going to have practically a whole new squad coming together there is going to zero understanding from the fans , I can see it a mile off. That's not a dig at us, it's football fans in general when downward spirals start.

So whoever comes in might as well be cheap to pay off because they will last about 6 months.

On a scale of 1 - 10 of our success next season, the new manager is only going to be able to influence this up to about 4 as the other 6 points are Short himself. As in, even if manager is fantastic, there's only so much he can achieve next season if a completely demotivated Short is still here.

I usually love a bit of new manager crack, but I'm completely uninterested this time because it means Jack shit until Short is gone.

Whoever comes in has got the hardest job in English football bar none at this current moment in time in my opinion.

Demotivated owner
Recently relegated
Half a squad (other half will want to be back in premier league)
Huge debts
No money to spend
Instant promotion expectations from large proportion of fans.

If anyone thinks they can pull that off then apply within.

(Good luck Derek)

Reid and Keane did exactly this. Hard to find managers that can have that sort of impact like. Hopefully whoever we get fits the mould.

you

you gullible fellow you have no idea what went on over the period when Fletch and Graham were here, along with the likes of Oshea catts and a few others it is a drink culture,,,, the club even know about it 4 were fined before the Chelsea game for being out till 3.30am on the Fri morning spotted in a Newcastle club.

SO WHO OR WHAT CAN WE AFFORD TO BUY if he comes he will have the same budget Moyes was promised the fee's for borini kone khazri and what ever is left out of the Lens deal. THATS IT

Nope complete shite

O shea is one of the fittest men in the club and he's 36

So fuck if they have a pint

What a ridiculous post

Pure jealousy

Short going is the priority. We need a shitload of money to compete. That's the basic fact here as our academy doesn't produce enough talent.

Fuck sake not the shite again

So if we'd given Moyes 50 more last year we would have stayed up???

We spent the 10th most last year

We have a top 10 wage bill

When the fuck will people open their eyes and learn!!!!!!! Ffs man

Not against him at all, but I find it a little worrisome if it's true Bain is consulting with Moyes and Smith to make an appointment. Jobs for the boys? At best would make our talent pool incredibly small. There are gems out there, look at Wagner and Silva.

if Celtic win today (as they should )
mcinnes will get slated even more on here !
Not good enough etc!!

he might do well here , might not

I'm not against his appointment, at least it looks like his teams work hard.

At least it's not the same old manager meri go round
