Ashley has two massive advantages.

He has proof of cash funds from the Saudi deal, I don't think he's made any major acquisitions since the sale.

He has virtually automatic 'right and proper' clearance having run NUFC correctly for a decade.

Any new chance would have two months of due diligence, etc, before they get close to a deal.

The EFL know that isn't an option.

Appleby would be a safe pair of hands, he took over last time and rebuilt the club after our 12 point season in the Prem. Fans weren't too keen at times because he didn't spend much money. What he did build though was a young team that should have gone up in the Playoff final agains QPR, we lost that and they sold the club in a fantastic state to Mel Morris who just chucked money at everything.

I'd be more than happy for Appleby to come back with his frugal ways and rebuild the club

i doubt donalds business card ever said accountant...
it mihht have referenced CEO of the multiple businesses he created though.

For all the many things he got wrong at SAFC..he shouldnt be bundled in with the Bassinis and etc of this world..

donald wasnt frugal..spending £3m on will grigg and running a business that lost all of those millions ladt year isnt frugal..
owners should be frugal...at neither of the clubs he run has Donald been frugal..has wasted fortunes

I suppose sometimes you have to hold your nose in business. Sartori couldn't care less about us anyway. Probably as much as he cares about SD and CM.

well years before safc they tried a takeover of oxford...where donald was already a shareholder..sartori has mentioned in an interview donald ringing to pitch him safc..and sartori said it was a late night call "because stewart tends to work lete into the night"..indicating he has worked closely enough with him to know his work patterns..
and methven is sartoris long time pr adviser..
sartori is a director of safc and funded the club while here..

What did he do wrong :lol:

Broke numerous financial rules and committed loads of irregularities like the selling of the stadium and naming rights. The deal to bring Rooney to the club was also dodgy as fuck funded by their sponsor hence why Rooney had to wear the number 32 shirt.
