Had to Google about crawley didn't know who he was. You sign young players with talent in the hope they can make the step up to the county game, some do some dont. But whenever you sign an overseas there has to be an assumption they are better than what we already have and will guarantee either runs or wickets. I daresay there are better overseas in the NEPL than maddinson

He played 3 T20s last season but bizarrely despite being mainly a batsman he was used as a bowler batting down the order.
Also he's only 19.

Remember Ryan Davies, wicket keeper, who played for Durham in 2018.

Reading on from that ECB statement regarding Ryan Davies there's a mention of Stanley McAlindon getting a call up into the squad for the 2nd U19 England v Sri Lanka test next week.No mention on the Website or Twitter from the club 😉 It is unofficially rumoured that the club will be investing in a dozen homing pigeons to help with media duties next season

Initially signed a 3 year contract 2019-2021. Presumably resigned a 2nd contract for this season but I don't know for how long.
Left Yorkshire because of friction with Gale so now he's gone.....

Wheely? Weill, it's not like we already have too many bowlers, and I was disappointed to see him go in the first place. But, time moves on and maybe the Wheely moments have gone.. Was a good bowler though.
