Dennis Cirkin

Fifa clearance to change nationalities didn't come through in time so he was only called up to integrate with the squad.
It's a tad strange he didn't pick Ireland mind. He'd get in their team for me

Nout against it, especially in the internation break - however smoking tabs is a bit worrying at his level.

He has always struck me as a lad struggling with mental health issues - can quite imagine someone like him taking to the drink. Being out for a year with a wrist injury when you play football with your feet was a bit bizarre. Hope he sorts himself out, good player

we reckon he get's another contract as back up?
We're going to need bodies
Problem has been his fitness to provide cover. He missed more than one chance for games this season when the first choice was injured, but he was too.

Not sure it’s on our side. There’s been an offer there for a long time as far as I’m aware. It might not be the greatest wages, but he’s the one who hasn’t signed it, despite being our first choice left back all last year. He didn’t know we were going to be promoted & replace him.

How many Premier League sides will buy him as a first choice left back? Not many. He might fancy a move abroad?

Whatever the situation is, I’m sure the club would be happy to have a homegrown player, who we know are capable of contributing, rather than replace him.

And now he's declared for Latvia, he might fancy a free move abroad for more exposure.
You'd presume he'd get international games for them even being a prem reserve, but he might want more game time

I like him and he didn’t look out of place when he played. As homegrown he’s a potential asset but I doubt we keep him now purely down to availability. Hope he has a great career wherever he ends up.

There’s a decent player in there, but I think he has some mental hurdles he needs to conquer to fulfil his true potential. Personally, wouldn’t be fussed if he left or stayed.

yeah and he's already 'connected' so we don't have to worry about that
he looked very chipper on all the photos and videos after the last game

I think the Europa League will probably get him to sign up.
No way is El Rei playing Thursdays and Sundays every week
He's great but he's not the bionic man

This is based upon nothing but my own thoughts, but he just seems different from every other footballer from a mindset perspective & the way he acts. Just feel like he’s harder to call cos he’s a bit weird. His social media accounts seem to suggest football is a hobby he does when he’s not posting pictures of sunsets & his coffee.

Never met the lad, so I could be completely wrong.

If we had missed out on Europe i'd have expected him to leave. The EL extra games might mean the club manage to get him to commit. Homegrown and if he can keep himself fit will contribute

Yeah, feels a bit like that " i play footy to live not live to play footy " . If thats true he may well stick around here on a good screw playing cups and back ups and im fine with that for quotas. He'll be third choice though cos we'll definitely buy another LB .

i just think he's quite a shy young man who just happens to be good at football.
Seems to have been through the wringer mentally the last few years though.
I think a new contract and some guidance from the senior pros around him might be just be what he needs.
100% a player in there - just needs to be involved more on match days

Looks like he's having another wrist surgery today based on his instagram story, must be awful for the lad. Hopefully it finally sorts it out.
