Dennis Cirkin

And no matter what we think, the club can’t compel anybody to sign a contract, if the lads choose not to that’s their choice.

We lost both of them?
Well i'm jumping the gun, Cirkin not certain to leave yet, but just 5 months left on his contract now and still not signed a new one.

Wonder if Cirkin is going the same way as Neil, not signed a contract for whatever reason, free to leave in the Summer.

Money down the drain for two players we could have got a few million each for.
Money down the drain? They have both played huge part in back to back promotions that money gained through that will be worth a 100 times more than any transfer fee. Neil cost nothing and Cirkin peanuts it’s not like we paid huge fees and lost them on a free

That's missing the point, every bit helps even 2 or 3 million apiece.

Been reported Neil turned down a permanent transfer to west ham (due to being a squad player) where we have got a fee. Looks like we have done what is right for Dan rather than pushing for money.

It has been run well, missed a trick with these two though.
In the case of Cirkin, he's been riddled with injuries and was totally unproven at PL level. It makes total sense to wait and see if he can a) stay fit and b) make an impression in this league. Are you advocating that we should have given him a big, fat PL contract in the summer, when he was injured?

Cirkin has done well since he got fit and came back in, I thought he was fine on Saturday when he came on, albeit WHU sat back more thanks to a three goal cushion, so maybe he wasn't tested like Reinildo was in the first half. I wouldn't be unhappy if he started v Burnley, Reinildo was very poor on Saturday and though he is a very good player, as said elsewhere his temper sometimes gets the better of him, and maybe starting Cirkin might assist in tempting him to sign a new contract?

He seems fine now and the contract (if there is one on the table) remains free of ink off his pen.

I thought this lad might have had some interest in acquiring his services on the cheap before the window has shut(maybe they have?) but now we know he's with us for the 2nd half of the season are we collectively more confident he will sign a new deal and crack on next year?

In the games he's had this season he's been class like, really hope he doesn't end up leaving on a free EOS.

Haway Cirkin man get it sined

I think the club are confident he’ll sign, but given he’s going to be second choice for a while it’s a tough sell. He’ll have loads of championship & PL interest.

A lot of people seem to be assuming this that Cirkin would stay if we offer a contract and this is a club decision and we’re being wise. It’s been heavily rumoured be wants to return to the South. Yes we should use him when we need him, but if he has decided to leave in the summer then every minute that we give him just inflates the wage deal he’ll get as a free agent.

All clubs suffer it but losing players on frees isn’t good business. I’m also not a fan of loaning out expensive wingers and having to buy replacements financially for the club but I guess sometimes you just have to say you got things wrong.

It’s such a hard game buying players in the PL especially on a budget.
