This. A shame because on the rare occasions he's appeared this season whilst he may not be 100% up to speed defensively at this level het he's not looked out of place on the ball and at 24 with potential and home grown it's both a position and slot we're going to have to fill.

But the reality is he's always been susceptible to injury and more recently just not been available when needed.
Unfortunately this. He's never had a pre-season allegedly

Can't decide what's best for him or us. He needs to be playing but can we offer him much game time? And do we risk his frequent injuries? If he really wants to stay then must be worth serious consideration as could save us a bit of money.

Has he really had frequent injuries?
Surely it’s all been the same one - a fairly unique problem with his wrist.

He would be perfect for our needs. Ext season given a minimum of 8 European games. We might also have a run in the league cup for a change. But can he stay fit.

I’d imagine the bigger question would be whether he wants to stay he’s not first choice and you could argue he’s third or fourth choice given our tendency to play people out of position at LB ahead of him. He needs football.

Replacing him with a similar level for what we need I’d think would be around £8m so it’s a big call to let him go.
