I’d like to see Dennis sign a new contract and stay here long term but if he did choose to leave for his career I’d understand why. It must be hard for a player falling down the pecking order. Feels like it’s leading up to him leaving but I hope he sticks around cos I think he’s got a lot of quality.

Ben White at Arsenal is another one. Doesn’t like or watch football at all doesn’t enjoy the game one bit. Declan Rice did an interview once saying he lives and breathes football it’s all he thinks about and his tele in the house constantly has the football on from all leagues and levels. Then he went on to say Ben white is the complete opposite. Wouldn’t have a clue whose playing who etc just turns up trains and goes home. David Batty was the same
Some very famous players e.g. batistuta are on record for saying that they don’t enjoy football. Christian vieri also iirc.

I think as long as he proves his fitness he will sign a new deal as I think the club see him as long term replacement for Reinildo.

Reinildo is capable of some very daft fouls, which could open the door for Cirkin to get minutes this season, but Cikin is young and will obviously want to play over sitting on the each week. I'd like to see him stay, but I've a feeling that he'll move on in favour of first team footy.

I 100% believe the club will offer him a new deal. I’m not sure on whether he’ll sign it. He’s shown he definitely has the quality and he’s a homegrown young player available on a free, there’ll be no shortage of takers

I’d like to see DC moved on and a new signing become first choice in that position. Nothing against either player, just shows we’re progressing as a squad.

He should sign a contract with the understanding that if he wants to be away in the summer he can be, no problem, then at least we get some money ... if no one wants him on the terms he signed for us and a fee then that shows him he's not as good as he thinks he is and should knuckle down and get better.

HE OWES US THAT.

Trouble is his potential wages will half if a fee becomes involved.

Like the Neil situation, its a bit baffling. I think he has various issues that may be contributing however. Seems a nice lad.

I think the opposite. We'd certainly be happy to keep him as decent and homegrown and would probably offer him a good deal , but we'll be looking for better to take over from Rienaldo. I expect a quality left back in summer . No sentiment at the SOL these days
