The criticism against Leeds was a bit ridiculous, it was an excellent team goal. I noticed Xhaka pressed the keeper on occasion tonight and City passed around him and made threatening attacks. Our defence snuffed it out though and therefore it's a nothing incident that isn't menioned.
 
Great performance. Second ever PL start against Cherki, probably the in-form player in the PL right now, and he plays that well? This is why we have to stop predicting the ability of our players week in week out. Loads of these 'backup' lads can do a job in the right system, with the right amount of help and experience.

So happy for him. He'll feel like a proper PL player tonight and fully deserves to.
 
Considering that's two 90 minute games in 4 days after previously being out for 6 months I thought he was excellent. He'll really need a rest on Sunday.
 
Very good tonight. I think the thing is for him, if there's nobody running at him he's sound, but when there is, he struggles. Well done tonight though, pleasantly surprised.
 
Interesting that Mukiele did exactly what Cirkin did against Leeds in 2nd half, but only didn’t lead to a goal,and gets (deservedly) voted MOTM.
