I'll be honest, I suspect Cirkin, Neil, and a number of others are probably going to stay until we know how we're doing. Likely January.

If we go down, 90% of the new signings will be gone. We will need to be careful about how we just burn bridges with players who would be a good building block next season in a bad situation.

One result and it was a great one, but the job isn't done.

Burn bridges with players? The pair of them have been offered contracts which they refuse to sign

Been a brilliant servant for the club but for me it’s a handshake and move on. Short memories some people. He was getting the run around from players like Dolan at Blackburn and Cissoko at at Plymouth last season. Struggled in the final and nearly ended it all for us with his foolish play at 1 down. No confidence in him competing at the premiership level at all. Great lad whose played a big part but football moves on

If he won't sign we have to actively seek a buyer. It's that simple. Expect his name to be circulating in online rumours over the weekend along with Dan Neil. We can't let them leave for nothing without playing much this season. Might as well get 10 million each.

Potential to be a great player in this division if his heads right .

Will the club stick with him and hope he grows as a player and a person or will they look to off load ?

To me he’s a very gifted player and at one point I thought he was the best english left back in the country at one point last season . However I think he falls into the Patto bracket.
That's quite the fall

Tbh I don’t really care if the manager likes a small squad. Going into that playoff campaign in the Mowbray season on bare bones has left scars. If we’ve got good championship level players on championship level wages to bolster the squad, I’m happy with it.

Loads of opportunities for minutes with league cup games and Afcon between now and the end of the January window. I’m not really looking to ship anyone out other than a few on loan who need minutes for development.

Haven’t posted in months but coming out of a brief hiatus to say that this thread is a good indicator of how quickly some people turn into cocky wankers.

I am fully on board with us having to add quality to the squad but the lack of respect some posters are showing for the players who got us where we are, without even giving them a chance to step up, is exactly why this place is rancid at times.

Cirkin, Neil, Patterson etc deserve far better. Love our actual fanbase, the online element is toxic.

Wouldn’t sell him unless we financially need to….but he does have some catching up to do.

I think that he is worth a chance to try to and is a valuable squad player.
