if this true. People were saying when we were in championship " yous have no money" !!! funny that,

I know dembele definately zero chance of joining us because of his high wages but who knows

I work amongst them lot up the road, and they found it hilarious that we were linked with Xhaka, until it actually happened. They've not been the same since.

Bring on the rumours. No matter how unrealistic, it'll still annoy the shit out of them lot that we're getting linked with such names.

It very likely won’t happen re Dembele, but it’ll be funny watching them panic and squirm a bit. :lol:

People would have said Xhaka had no chance in coming here this time last season.
 
I think the Xhaka one is a bad comparison. The first reports of that were from reputable sources, so we knew we were at least properly in for him. This isn't the case here

It would blow every single signing that’s ever taken place in world football within the last 15 years if it happened. He can probably pick any club in the world especially if he was willing to take the drop in wages required.
 
I am 98% certain that this won't happen.

However, I'm 99% certain that KLD will make an approach - if only a very casual one - to see if there's any chance of making it happen on a temporary basis.

We can't afford him via the traditional channels, but say he was offered the chance to take a 5% stake in the club (activated upon retirement) in order to play for us for a season. A decent retirement plan, while still having the chance to move to a big club afterwards. And for us, we get one of the world's best players (with all the boost in profile that goes with it), plus a wealthy and well connected addition to the ownership group.

It's obviously ridiculously unlikely, but it'll also definitely happen and I'll give everyone reading this £700 if it doesn't.
