Defoe

He's been playing professional football since 1999 and including international appearances he's averaged 35 games a season.
That's your first pile of shite, blatant lie.
You don't know what our budget is to suggest in any way shape or form that it is blown.
Second lie.
Let's hope you don't post a full paragraph, it will take an age to sort through your inability to be honest
You have to be a big boy to call someone a lie'er i always remember him as a bit glassy , why so angry gay boy you sucking his boby , if you think a short arse forward is what we are missing great but i hope he can win the ball and create too

Fletcher is 5 years younger though and you're including European games.

Defoe scores a league goal every 0.35 games and Fletcher's is 0.28

Defoe's PL tally for the last 4 seasons is....1, 11, 11 and 4 from 95 apps

Fletcher's is 3, 11, 12 and 10 from 94 apps

Do cup goals not count like? It doesn't take stats to show that Defoe is a better option. Fletcher has scored in 2 games in the past year.

Would (hopefully) mean that gus would have to play two up front - probably Defoe and Fletcher. Given some of the lower placed teams that are due at our place we might finally get after some teams and drop this scaredy cat approach to every damn match
Hopefully mate. That is a good strikeforce that. Can he change his way of thinking though? That's been my biggest and main criticism of poyet, not changing our approach. Will happily give him credit IF we do pull this off, he changes.

He's better than Altidore by a country mile. So we are a better team today than we were last week. That is at least progress.

That's the bottom line, and all we can realistically ask for. What we need now is to make use of Defoe by using our second loan option very wisely and getting someone in capable of creating a few decent chances.

Poyet will probably end up putting Defoe in goal.

Got no problem with bringing Defoe in if it helps the balance of the team and we pose more goal threat......I was just pointing out that he's not as prolific in the PL as people on here seem to think and not really a step up from Fletcher. He may offer a different skill set though.....Got to be better than Altidore though.

The fact is nothing is better than Altidore as we wouldn't have to waste a space in the squad for it.

I hope this signing helps. The money isn't a problem for a proven player who has spent his career scoring goals in the Premier League.

Sorry but Defoe has a much better record in the premiership than e'eto.
Drogba is at least 2 years older.
Still once a bleater always a bleater

don't be so fuckign stupid man. eto'o has a 50% strike rate for pretty much every team he's played for aside from Barcelona where it's closer to 75%

He was probably around a 1 in 3 striker for a good Spurs side so he'll bang then in for fun with the service he'll get off our midfield
