Aye, because signing a forward who has scored 124 goals in the Prem, putting him 14th on the list of top scorers and getting rid of one who has 2 goals in 48 appearances is f***ing shit business like.

Can you tell me who Congerton should have gone for who is both better and cheaper? and if you can then I suggest you get your application for Congertons job sent off in the post in the morning.

I'm not bemoaning the signing of the player. Defoe has proven to be an excellent talent over the years and could create a decent partnership with Fletcher in time.
However, 14 million is a little bit excessive given the circumstances isn't it?
