Not claiming to be ITK here but I've just had a mate ring me to say he's had a tip off that Defoe is signing for us tomorrow. He has no connection to Sunderland this lad so would be a random one for him to make up. He wouldn't tell me who is source is, but through his job I imagine he has a few decent contacts.

Just put £20 on it at 2/1 in case - he's put £100 on it.

I don't have much faith in Poyet playing 442, you'd imagine if Defoe does sign he'd have too though, Defoe upfront on his own simply wouldn't work IMO.
