Not claiming to be ITK here but I've just had a mate ring me to say he's had a tip off that Defoe is signing for us tomorrow. He has no connection to Sunderland this lad so would be a random one for him to make up. He wouldn't tell me who is source is, but through his job I imagine he has a few decent contacts.

Just put £20 on it at 2/1 in case - he's put £100 on it.

Will wait and see.

Is it really Sunderland who've completed this transfer? A major signing that was no more than a ridiculed rumour on a Tuesday evening to confirmation picture with scarf on the Friday and cleared to play on the Saturday. Aren't we supposed to have weeks and weeks of speculation, cryptic clues, sightings at airports, hotels, medical centres and estate agents, threatened gazzumpings by Harry or boyhood favourite teams, being held to ransom for fees and wages etc.. etc..???
